Collection: constructiveHEARTS

constructiveHEARTS, is a collection of unique and well-crafted necklaces originally created in 2013 to honor and support the journey of a young friend. After a 10 year hiatus, we're pleased to be back with our own distribution company, Flat Dog Supply.  We've refreshed our collection with updated chain styles and expanded color options. constructiveHEARTS necklaces are perfect for wearing alone as a thoughtful and creative statement piece, or layering with your favorite necklaces and charm combinations. The heart is your clasp, and when you wear this necklace you are literally "putting the pieces together for change" as a portion of our proceeds from the sale of each necklace supports the Press On Fund, for pediatric cancer research. Each heart is donned with a charm that reads PRESS ON, a nod to our friend, his cause, and a reminder for us all to dig deep and press on when we encounter life's challenges.

We promise you won't go a day wearing our necklace without multiple heartfelt comments and inquiries!

Please see About Us to learn more about our story and the cause that we support, the Press On Fund.

OUR CHAINS

Our sterling necklaces are .925 silver, meaning it is 92.5% pure silver mixed with other base metals. The added metal alloys in sterling silver makes it significantly stronger and more durable compared to fine silver.

Our gold necklaces are offered to fit your layering style - waterproof, life proof, 18k gold PVD in a medium or large paperclip style, or 14k gold filled in a dainty or more subtle paperclip style.

A little more about the gold that we use. PVD (Physical Vapor Deposition) is an environmentally friendly ‘plating’ process that adheres thin layers of gold to stainless steel. It is hypoallergenic and produces an extremely durable finish with a luster that withstands continuous daily wear and tear: showers, sweat, swimming. Jewelry made of PVD gold is often now termed ‘waterproof’ and has greater longevity than plated, which we do not use. Gold filled chain has a higher gold content than plated and is regulated by U.S. law. Gold filled must be 5% of the value of solid gold, has a softer gold color than PVD, and is our most expensive offering.
